Problems with GTA San Andreas lowrider mission.?

im at the mission where you meet kendle’s new bf, Ceaser, and u have to do the lowrider mission. when ever i try to press the buttons it tells me to, they don’t show up. i have tried everything, but nothing works. it is the pc version of the game, and i play the game on a acer laptop. please help
