What happens if you don't pay a parking ticket given by Public Safety?

I went up to an out-of-state college, parked illegally, and got ticketed by the campus’s Public Safety (not the cops.)
Will a local police officer in my state be able to see this violation should I get pulled over etc.?

While I’m not advocating not paying a ticket given…the only time it will probably come back to haunt you is if you go back to that state and get pulled over, etc. OR if you were driving a rental car. They will track you down and conveniently charge your credit card on file for the amount of the ticket.
You best bet is always paying the ticket. You don’t want to go visit again at some time in the future and end up dealing with it then (and probably higher fines for non-payment or worse, a bench order for your arrest)
